DeSmuME 0.9.13 released!

In this version we have added support for high-resolution 3D rendering. Try the new “GPU Scaling Factor” feature to increase the 3D resolution beyond the native resolution of 256×192 pixels. Also, the Cocoa frontend sees continued radical enhancements and while the Windows frontend sees some new incremental enhancements.

Head on over to the download page and check it out!

Also, don’t post bug reports or support requests in the comments. It’s a terrible venue for that, and there are other places specifically designed for it, such as, say, the support forum

WiFi not emulated and not supported!!

We won’t make a 3DS/2DS emulator.

Huh? Jumping into version 0.9.13? What happen on version 0.9.12?

    • rogerman says:

We decided to jump to v0.9.13 to help differentiate the stable release from the past 7 years of v0.9.12 interim builds.

In other words, v0.9.12 could be, well, anything, since there are a huge amount of possible builds under that version number. But v0.9.13 has a known codebase, and so differentiating the version number helps us with troubleshooting and helps users know what the latest and greatest version actually is.

seems like I picked a good time to need this emulator, new release and giving me an excuse to learn LUA syntax, been wanting to for like 2 years, Can’t even remember I think an older version must be on my something.

    what about x86 release?

    • rogerman says:

The x86 release binary already exists for macOS and Linux, so use one of those ports if you want to run DeSmuME on a 32-bit system.

However, the x86 binary has been dropped for Windows due to certain bugs and support issues. If you still insist on running 32-bit DeSmuME on Windows in 2022, then you’ll need to download a nightly build instead.
