DeSmuME 0.9.7 released!
These bits may seem a bit stale to those of you who have been watching our SVN, as they were made in November 2010. Sorry it took so long to get released. A lot of testing and laziness were involved.
This version brings with it the usual assortment of core, graphics, and frontend fixes. Compatibility improvements are numerous, but there is a long way to go still.
Please note that a super OSX buildmaster would be a welcome addition to our team, as it is not really our area of expertise and continually gets short-changed due to lack of attention…
* edit (04-feb-2011) – the NOSSE2 build is posted
* edit (06-feb-2011) – the NOSSE2 build is re-posted since the previous one was a total fail.
* edit (30-apr-2011) – the OSX build is posted

Thanks for the new release!
1 question: Do 9.6 saves work with 9.7? Both for savestates and actual saves.
February 2nd, 2011 at 7:13 pm
@Kirlha: yes, they work
Thanks a lot!
February 2nd, 2011 at 7:49 pm

February 2nd, 2011 at 9:44 pm
I noticed that text bubbles in Wario: Master of Disguise don’t show up at all.
February 3rd, 2011 at 12:24 am
we have a bug board and a bug tracker on sourceforge. bug reports in this comments thread are going to be ignored.
February 3rd, 2011 at 5:30 am
ow do you get all of your data from DeSmuME0.9.6 to this one?
February 3rd, 2011 at 10:41 am
Excellent work! Works fine on openSUSE 11.3 x86_64.
Thank you very much. Continue like this!

¡Muchas gracias!
Thanks so much!
February 3rd, 2011 at 9:58 pm
Dunno about a bug, but it always crashes on game load (any game) for me. X64 version. 0.9.6 works fine, though :S
February 4th, 2011 at 12:22 am
Great emulator!!!. Thanks for your time XD
February 4th, 2011 at 2:31 am
Thanks much…
You`re all great!!!
February 4th, 2011 at 8:12 am
This is awesome!!!! it runs close to 100%
just edit some settings and it will be fast! but best of all, it saves!!!
February 4th, 2011 at 9:10 am
I agree…we should dropped support for non-sse2 users…they need to upgrade…even me I bought an Intel Core2Duo E4600.
February 4th, 2011 at 10:08 am
Hey, i’ve been using this for Pokemon HG/SS and I am impressed with how it runs, especially during the Pokathelon. I have heard rumors aboue trading capabilities with this, whether with wi-fi or linking on a pc. Is this possible, and if so, how can I go about doing it?
February 4th, 2011 at 2:26 pm
Please! add a fullscreen support, like the extra options that no$gba with zoomer.
Almost emulators had a fullscreen mode, some tech difficulties to add?
Please,don´t be angry it´s only a suggestion
February 4th, 2011 at 9:07 pm
Hey all, can anyone compile the mac version and post it here?
Thanks,
February 4th, 2011 at 9:12 pm
Beautiful commitment and work guys… keep it up! There is no better emu than DeSmuME for the DS and this is coming wholeheartedly
Is this faster than the prev version?
February 5th, 2011 at 12:47 pm
Hey, I’ve been compiling your SVN versions with GTK on my Mac for months now. If you need help, maybe I can be of some assistance. I left my email in the mail field — feel free to contact me.
February 5th, 2011 at 1:06 pm
Freestate, press Alt+Enter
February 5th, 2011 at 5:48 pm
I can’t help but notice that the new version’s executable is considerably larger than the 0.9.6’s executable
Why is that @@
February 6th, 2011 at 4:28 am
DesMuME 0.9.7 noSSE2 crashes instantly on a PC with an AthlonXP CPU
The previous nonSSE2 version (0.9.6) worked fine. What a shame.
February 6th, 2011 at 7:38 am
Thanks for Desmume 0.9.7. We waited for quite a while, but the wait was worth it.
I’m happy to announce that Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is much more playable now with this new version. Audio / 3D rendering is still a little choppy in some places e.g. Djinni summoning, but it’s much improved now compared to 0.9.6.
Save state works well too. Just a little suggestion: on the menu save, state slots should be in the order 0 to 9, to match the on-screen save state UI display. Currently, the menu has slot 1 at the top, and slot 0 at the bottom.
Here’s to a great 0.9.8 release in 2011.
And when you reach the milestone 1.0.0 release, congratulate yourselves again. For you have come a long way.
February 6th, 2011 at 8:43 am
Is DeSmuME 0.9.7 can play Dragon Ball Kai – Ultimate Butouden very well??
Cause in DeSmuME 0.9.6 crashed if playing it…
February 6th, 2011 at 8:57 am
Some Mac Guy – please visit us on IRC. this is a necessary step to ensure that we don’t waste time with hit and run helpers. it is also the only way that any real desmume organizational deliberation happens.
jellyfish – because i messed up and forgot to UPX it.
I_love_3ds – youre right, I think i messed up making that build. I’ll post another one. It’s hard to test since all the computers I’ve ever had access to that are that old have become spider nests or boat anchors by now.
hailstorm – that is an interesting observation. I think we will change the on-screen display to go from 1,2..9,0 to match the F-keys on the keyboard. what is your response to that?
AryaNusa – would it hurt you very much to try it and see?
February 6th, 2011 at 9:00 pm
good
February 7th, 2011 at 12:18 am
Is heartgold not crashing now? 0.9.6 still had crashes after third badge
February 7th, 2011 at 1:31 am
Respect My Authority!
February 7th, 2011 at 10:53 pm

February 8th, 2011 at 1:18 am
Hey, I’ve been compiling your SVN versions with GTK on my Mac for months now. If you need help, maybe I can be of some assistance. I left my email in the mail field — feel free to contact me.
February 8th, 2011 at 5:25 am
Sounds cool! Any progress on figuring out WiFi/link support?
February 8th, 2011 at 12:44 pm
To all users without sse2: Upgrade your CPU! It’s that simple! Get something like Intel Core2Duo or I3/I5/I7.
Also the sse2 build is faster than the nosse2 build.
February 8th, 2011 at 7:12 pm
nut, are you on commission?
February 9th, 2011 at 1:12 am
nah I just love to show off… it’s that simple!
February 9th, 2011 at 6:44 am
er… i can’t run emulator DeSmuME.exe – DeSmuME_dev.exe i duble click .exe but it not show window for game Not run Not show
so i can play with DeSmuME_nosse2.exe but it slow TwT
Do you help me Plaese
thankyou -w-b
February 9th, 2011 at 12:06 pm
There’s a previous commenter with the same name as me WTF//?
About the nosse2…it’s suppose to be like that; use desmume.exe; if it crashes, then there’s really nothing you can do other than upgrade your CPU.
February 9th, 2011 at 9:12 pm
when you completely close out the new system, all of the data is erased from your game, when you release the next one( if you do), please try and fix that
February 9th, 2011 at 9:56 pm
Finally, thx, i have been specting for the next version!! KEEP UP WITH THE GOOD WORK!!
February 9th, 2011 at 10:38 pm
critic, its not a bug. it is user error. configure your paths properly.
February 14th, 2011 at 12:49 pm
I don’t know why, but the “Import Backup Memory” option isn’t working properly for some games (mostly in the case of older games), and for others it is taking a bit of time before the importing is successful.
February 15th, 2011 at 4:25 am
Your site is finally up!
Why your site is down for the last few days?
February 15th, 2011 at 4:27 am
Also when I install DeSmuMe on Ubuntu 10.10 through Software Center, why it installed 0.9.6? It should install 0.9.7!
February 15th, 2011 at 9:59 am
no, it shouldnt install 0.9.7, unless whomever takes responsibility for the linux packaging does their job and updates things. i don’t know who that is and apparently neither do you.
February 15th, 2011 at 3:35 pm
Any word on the Mac OS X release?
Better not be slackin
February 15th, 2011 at 3:42 pm
THIS IS THE BESTTTTTTT! Thanks guys!
February 15th, 2011 at 8:17 pm
Great job with the new release! It just gets better and better…
I was worried about the site. It was down for a few days! Glad to see it’s back up and nothing major happened.
February 16th, 2011 at 10:10 am
I was worried about the site too, but glad that it’s back up and running.
February 16th, 2011 at 8:07 pm
Are Heartgold and Soulsilver still crashing?
February 17th, 2011 at 12:32 am
I don’t know.
Current tests showed that its not crashing, but it is not 100% free from crashes.
February 17th, 2011 at 8:10 am
Glad to see there’s an update. As a Mac user, I’m really looking forward to the OSX 0.9.7 release. Thanks!!
February 18th, 2011 at 5:55 pm
hurayyyyyyyyy, thank u very much ^^
February 19th, 2011 at 12:33 pm
incredible how to this day when trying this emulator on a old computer, that we see that no$gba is still faster than desmume, still a lot of work to do on optimization and i pretty much doubt you are doing the SSE2 optimizations in the right way, just see what dolphin achieved with the SSE2 and you’ll know what i’m talking about.
February 19th, 2011 at 5:26 pm
I liek save states! Looking forward for next update
))
February 19th, 2011 at 6:24 pm
Pretty good got to use it on my pc.. I do hope you release a mac version soon though…
question in 9.6’s mac version.. how come the boost doesn’t work?
February 19th, 2011 at 8:41 pm
asnec, you have made the mistake of assuming that speed is a goal for desmume.
February 20th, 2011 at 3:17 am
zeromus, you’re right there.. so far as far as I’m concerned… Desmume’s better since they’d happily create mac versions unlike no$gba… plus pokemon games like black and white work on 9.6
) perfectly like a charm boo yeah!
February 20th, 2011 at 8:24 am
Cant wait for the MAC version. Hopefully there are more settings. Hope its runs good. . . games are unplayable at the moment…..but i still support.
February 20th, 2011 at 8:29 am
Problem: On pokemon soul silver when i start fight with Falkner the game freezes! On no$gba i didnt have this problem so i assume it is problem in desmume. any1 halp?
February 20th, 2011 at 4:13 pm
I have a bit of a problem. I started playing on 0.9.6 but transferred my stuff to a new computer. I downloaded 0.9.7, but found out it can’t load my savestates from 0.9.6. Is there any way I can continue where I left off?
February 20th, 2011 at 7:30 pm
majin, use in-game save and transfer the .dsv
February 21st, 2011 at 6:51 am
OMG! I got 0.9.7 but it run slow like a hell! How can i speed it up!
February 21st, 2011 at 11:22 am
This version is just perfect!
It doesn’t slow even if I record the game with Camstudio!
Surely the best DS emulator and much, much better than No$gba and iDeaS!
February 22nd, 2011 at 12:59 am
Maybe speed will be a goal AFTER the DS is discontinued…
February 22nd, 2011 at 3:32 am
Been waiting for this release and it works better than 0.96 in my case, thanks a bunch!! May I say a suggestion about the screen separation function? can you make the two screen split like, the upper screen can be dragged in the upper left and the lower screen can be dragged on the lower right of the monitor? I’ve been looking for that function in the screen separation option but can’t seem to find it. I see this kind of screen separation in the ideas emu
February 22nd, 2011 at 12:25 pm

February 24th, 2011 at 6:18 am
Really hopping for a quality Mac build. I know the needs of the many (PC users) outweigh the needs of the few (Mac users) but i’m stuck with my Mac and i’d really like to see a working emulator for it! Good job none the less and keep it up!
February 24th, 2011 at 6:48 am
Still patiently waiting for the Mac release. Thanks for your consideration of the Mac users.
February 24th, 2011 at 10:19 am

February 28th, 2011 at 1:06 pm
An option to have the two screens as seperate windows would be awesome, as I have multiple monitors and would love to have one on each.
March 1st, 2011 at 7:06 am

March 2nd, 2011 at 2:53 am
looking forward to the OS X build, thanks for your awesome work ;D
March 2nd, 2011 at 6:34 am
hey Lee, Im not zeromus or anything, but why dont you try checking all your options? You ever use the toolbar on Microsoft Word?. Just look, youll find it. Use common sense.(Try sound settings) BTW you guys kick ass. You guys get wifi and/or trading up for my Pokefreakness, I will donate. For sure. I just actually found this.
March 2nd, 2011 at 8:13 am
@zeromus: i already tried lots of sound options but the screeching is till there! cant hear the background music and sound effects of golden sun dark dawn. help on these matter please. tnx.
March 2nd, 2011 at 8:28 am
Tell us which options you tried. Did you try resetting the game after changing them?
March 2nd, 2011 at 10:38 am

keep it up!
March 2nd, 2011 at 4:43 pm

March 4th, 2011 at 2:38 pm
i wonder when ver 9.7 would be released for mac..
must be pretty tough work though..
^ ^ Ganbatte neh!
anxiously waiting..
March 4th, 2011 at 5:16 pm
I didn’t know where to ask about this so i am posting it here.
I heard about a software called “Game Booster” which seems to help play games on PC a bit much better than normal.
Now what i wanted to know is that would this software help in anyway to improve the performance of DeSmuME emulation or is this only usable for PC only games.
March 5th, 2011 at 1:11 am
Zeromus, I’d like to add one wee bit of info. You gotta delete the old INI file from previous versions of Desmume or else games crash on load.
March 5th, 2011 at 3:04 pm
Hey do you know that in this version you can now save in Pokemon Black/White?
I think you can’t save in 0.9.6 or lower.
Also I tried playing Pokemon White and hadn’t experience any freezes unlike in Heart Gold.
March 5th, 2011 at 6:11 pm
Is this available for us Linux Ubuntu users? If it is can someone send me the D/L link since I do not know which one to download… email me at james@fog4u.com
March 7th, 2011 at 2:38 am
@zeromus: i already tried to reset the game after i changed the sound configs but the screeching is still there when im playing golden sun dark dawn.
March 7th, 2011 at 2:40 am
@Pokefan999: I will try that advanced SPU logic if it works. I’ll send my feedbacks if the screeching is still there. tnx.
March 8th, 2011 at 1:26 am
Hikari, only if you have an oddly setup ini file and don’t understand path configurations. Nobody “gotta” delete anything.
March 8th, 2011 at 6:19 am
@Pokefan999: thanks a lot man! I tried what you suggested and the game sounds good. I could hear the sound effects and the background music at the same time. No need to put ds emu on shut up mode. Thanks a lot man!
March 8th, 2011 at 8:05 am
thank goodness pokefan was here to save you from having to try all 6 sound options. that would have taken a million years
March 8th, 2011 at 10:15 pm
games are quite laggy on my laptop even after adding action replay codes, updating to new 0.9.7 version, using windows update, updating my drivers, etc. etc. etc.
my laptop is a dell latitude c840. with 1gb ram and a pentium 4 2ghz processor running xp sp3.. yeah, its like 5 years old!
so i went on my newer compaq presario desktop with ati radion 128 mb graphics card and 1gb ram with anthlon 2ghz processor running windows 7 and i cant get DeSmuME to run, task manager shows the process is running but the file wont open.. any suggestions?
March 9th, 2011 at 4:03 am
Thanks so much!
March 9th, 2011 at 10:26 am
@zeromus: tnx also for the tips and help. Hope you could make a 3DS Emulator in the future. More power to DESMUME!
March 9th, 2011 at 11:16 am
thanks friend..and good job..and i miss u all..upupupuupup
March 9th, 2011 at 7:17 pm
@unitard
Try turn your Windows 7 Aero theme off, because Windows 7 use 128 MB from your video card to drain all memory out. You need turn Aero theme off to reduce memory from 128 MB into 1 MB and will able to run emulator. Look at your memory ram – 1 GB is use all by Windows 7, you need upgrade to 2 GB or bigger will able to run emulator. Windows 7 use up to 1 GB of RAM.
I know Compaq computer is bad, my friends told me about it. Get faster computer like budget about $500 or higher. Never buy computer at price $400 or lower due to very low performance can cause problems for games.
Windows XP never waste everything on memory RAM and Video card, that good enough. Windows XP use up to 256 MB RAM and 1 MB of video card memory. Windows XP is very smart and people who are gamer to play all games without problems. No issues at all.
My computer DELL is 10 years old and running Desmume 0.9.7 emulator just fine on Windows XP, Pentium 4 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM @ 133 MHz, Nvidia FX 5600 256 MB (6 years old video card with heatsink, and no fan). Most seem fine, but few games get slow down due to slow processor or video card. Not bad for my older computer! On December 2011, happy birthday 11 years old to my older DELL Dimension 4300 desktop computer! Still stronger and solid computer made by DELL company. Go DELL!!! LOL!
Can’t wait to see Desmume emulator will add support to 3DS games like .3ds file format. I guess Desmume emulator 1.0.0 will be first to support 3DS games. People must have computer use Dual core to play 3DS games. Quad core is not needed, because Dual core is very popular right now. I have 2 DELL desktop computers have Dual Core will able to run 3DS games.
I will buy Windows 7 Service Pack 2 come with brand new desktop computer have Quad core or Six core or Eight core. I must save my money for new computer in next year or 2013. I keep eye on Google news for more news about Windows 7 SP2 or Windows 8 and new hardwares.
March 10th, 2011 at 11:10 am
DeSmuMe runs find with aero theme turned on. Tested with Pokemon Black, White and Heart Gold.
Intel Core2Duo 2.4GHZ, 3GB ram, Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit SP1, Nvidia GForce 8400
March 10th, 2011 at 12:37 pm
Yes, PLEASE release the Mac OS X version ASAP! I have been using the old version of desmume for Mac and it lags a lot when I use it. Hopefully this one will be better!
March 12th, 2011 at 2:52 pm
uhm dumb question… does this emulator have the “link” thingy… u know that link you to another emulator… example.. for pokemon trades/duels and such?
March 13th, 2011 at 12:20 am
The wifi option is not available in this version as well as on the latest SVN R3946.
Hope it will be re-added in the future SVN REVS.

I am playing pokemon white on mac, I beat the league, but I cannot save it so I cannot go to the second world (I am using save stat to until now), how can I save a .dsv file? Or just how can I save the game? Thankyou
March 14th, 2011 at 7:06 pm
Mac users who are wanting to use this new release. You could just use wine from macports to run the windows version on mac. This is what I have been doing for a while and it works extremely well. From my measurements it is mayybe about 20% or so slower than on windows, but this hardly matters because most games run at a constant frame rate.
Good work desmume team!

“I am playing pokemon white on mac, I beat the league, but I cannot save it so I cannot go to the second world (I am using save stat to until now), how can I save a .dsv file? Or just how can I save the game? Thankyou”
That’s a totally wrong idea of using save state.
There is nothing you can do, you just have to start again. I rarely use save state, I use it when trying to catch a pokemon, but for normal gameplay I use in-game save and it work.
March 16th, 2011 at 1:53 am

March 23rd, 2011 at 9:21 pm
@ Uberdreww
if u go under view, then go down to HUD and deselect display input that should work otherwise the comma is the quick key for it.
March 24th, 2011 at 3:25 am
thanks a lot !
March 24th, 2011 at 7:32 pm
why is the “shut up” button not working?
March 26th, 2011 at 5:00 am
I cant gain any EXP on Pokemon White and Black. How do I fix these problems?
March 26th, 2011 at 7:58 am
Of course you can’t with clean rom. You need a patched rom. Even the one I’m playing were patched rom of the official English version. I was able to get up to the 8th gym in Pokemon White without any problems!
March 26th, 2011 at 11:12 pm
Can you please tell me when the mac version comes out? It will be really helpful. Thank you
March 27th, 2011 at 4:02 am
I have the Mac version of DeSmuME 0.9.7 built and running. It does use Cocoa instead of GTK, as I find XCode and Cocoa much more Mac-friendly than GTK.
This build was done quickly over only a few days, so I didn’t have time to make feature parity with the Windows version. But it does have all the same features as the 0.9.4 Cocoa version.
I haven’t tested this build very extensively, so I can only confirm that it works on my own computer. It is still Universal Binary, and it should still work in Mac OS X 10.4 and higher. But again, I haven’t really tested this.
FWIW, how should I go about submitting this to the DeSmuME team?
March 27th, 2011 at 7:45 am
you should come on irc #desmume on freenode, be patient, and discuss it with us. if you’re the long awaited mac port maintainer then we would like to talk to you.
March 29th, 2011 at 4:16 pm
thanks for the 64bit version of 0.9.7
i use windows 7 enterprise x64 and it works just fine.
works with an 1,6ghz dual-core and 512mb ram too, but longer rom loading times.(i use this emu at my work too xD)
March 30th, 2011 at 10:13 am
@ zeromus I hope when you guys get to release the mac version it’d have the wifi part n all..
Is it alright to suggest right now?
I’d love to suggest having a readme file with how do you transfer save files and all just so that you wouldn’t have to repeat answering all the questions all over again or maybe a video tutorial attached to it..
.. this also applies for all the other next gen versions of desemume hope to hear more from you guys soon.
by the way more power to desemume ^ ^
March 30th, 2011 at 2:36 pm
When does it fix the abnormal display problem (white screen) of DQ series in ATI display card?
March 30th, 2011 at 9:53 pm
Thank you guys for the efforts and the energy you give to make NDS Emulation possible !
I’m waiting for the Mac version.
And hoping a better emulation for Golden sun 3.
THANKS A LOT !
March 31st, 2011 at 1:54 pm
Man, all of you did a great job, follow doing this and making happy to everyone. Congratz i love to play games with this emulator… specially Golden Sun DArk Dawn.
April 2nd, 2011 at 11:13 am
I have a suggestion to make DeSmuME emu runs faster. I think the developers should include & option to enable/disable the WiFi features. This is because I found out this is when some SVN have no WiFi features and it runs faster too. I hope this will be implement ASAP.
April 4th, 2011 at 4:10 pm
I am waiting for Mac OS X , is there any hope ?
April 11th, 2011 at 3:24 pm

April 12th, 2011 at 4:48 am

Looking for ds emulator on droid 2 (black and white really). Any chance anyone is working on that here, or if it is possible?
April 13th, 2011 at 10:29 pm
not going to happen for a few years. even if it works it will be too slow to be useful.
April 13th, 2011 at 11:11 pm
you guys are awesome keep up the good work!!
April 14th, 2011 at 7:17 am
Just want to say thank you for all your hard work, you guys. It looks great on Windows, and I can see on SourceForge that rogerman and riccardom (and probably others) are working hard on the Cocoa port. I’m sure this can be a pretty hankless hobby, working your ass off only to be rewarded by complaints that it isn’t perfect enough. But believe, for every Pokemon-related gripe, there’s a hundred people who are super-appreciative and a little in awe of the great work you’re doing.
April 15th, 2011 at 4:48 am
Gracias!
April 15th, 2011 at 3:16 pm

Hey, I was playing Pokemon Black on 0.9.7 and it kept getting hung up, and it got really bad to the point of shutting my computer down and doing a physical memory dump. Now 0.9.7 doesn’t work and my save files aren’t loading. help me please? I just wanna know if there’s anything I can do to get my save file to work and/or to prevent it from doing this again?
April 28th, 2011 at 5:44 am
I’ve seen a couple of people mention that they’ve gotten this to build on OSX. Could either of you put up a dmg for the rest of us to help you test out?
Oh, and keep up the great work Desmume team!
April 28th, 2011 at 10:37 am
Nick: I have access to a Mac computer at work, but stopped working on DeSmuME long ago. Also, probably you wouldn’t be able to pay my hourly rate to get that running again on Mac
April 28th, 2011 at 11:25 pm

Maybe someone else asked this question already, but I just downloaded 0.9.7 today, and, using a savestate from 0.9.6, I think, am playin Apollo Justice -Ace Attorney, but for some reason although the screens are fine, I have to click the top screen to get the touch screen to react. Is this a bug?
May 10th, 2011 at 8:56 pm

May 28th, 2011 at 7:30 pm
It seems like a lot of Mac users haven’t noticed that there is a Mac build for 0.9.7 on the sourceforge project page. You can find it here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/desmume/files/desmume/0.9.7/
May 28th, 2011 at 9:04 pm
because we didnt link to it because nobody told me that it was uploaded
May 29th, 2011 at 12:07 am
the mac version (0.9.7) work realy well… The sound is still realy buggy, but the program look great. Will be fun to test it out more
May 29th, 2011 at 7:42 pm
buggy sound may be user error and a failure of the cocoa gui to expose synchronous sound mode. we can’t know unless you say what the bug is and in which game.
May 29th, 2011 at 8:59 pm
So is that 0.9.7 version for Mac not the official release? And if so is there just no movie record feature for it?
May 29th, 2011 at 10:09 pm
zeromus is correct — Cocoa DeSmuME does not use any of the synchronous sound modes, which is the cause of the noise that you’re hearing. Some games don’t exhibit this behavior at all, while other games will do this often (but still intermittently).
The easiest way to remedy the noise issue is to set the emulation speed to 1/4, and then reset the emulation speed to normal speed. Also, on some games, you can just let the game play out until the noise goes away on its own.
May 29th, 2011 at 10:16 pm
thank you very much for the mac version !!
May 31st, 2011 at 4:00 pm
Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds World Championship 2010 Reverse of Arcadia Eng
This game cannot continuous to play in battle
It is only working with DESmuME 0.9.4
May 31st, 2011 at 10:29 pm
The Mac version of 0.9.7 uses the Cocoa code from the 0.9.4 release, rather than the GTK code from 0.9.6. Therefore, there will be some missing features compared to 0.9.6. However, I do believe that the Cocoa version is better overall because the majority of the features are still there, and the Cocoa version is much more stable than the GTK version.
The next two releases of Mac DeSmuMe will see the return of the majority of the missing features. Plus, the GUI will be MUCH MUCH MUCH nicer.
June 17th, 2011 at 12:05 am
does desmume support SSE3 and mmx?
June 17th, 2011 at 6:42 am
DeSmuME support SSE2 & MMX and above. That’s all.
Pentium 4, D and Core Duo, Quad, and Core i3, i5, i7 are fine. If AMD support SSE2 or higher, game will run.
I own 11 years old computer with Pentium 4 1.6 GHz and work fine on DeSmuME 0.9.7. Not to worry about it.
Any news for DeSmuME 0.9.8 or newer yet?
I still playing Minecraft game on my PC and really fun. Can’t wait for Minecraft Beta 1.7 come out!
June 18th, 2011 at 4:47 am
thanks for info
November 8th, 2011 at 11:27 am
Hello!! I downloaded the Mac release and one problem I came across was if I rotated the screen of the game, the controls and mouse-click no longer correlated to the game options. But the DeSmuME 0.9.6. version has this feature!! Just thought I’d point that out. (In hopes that this could be resolved…
)
November 9th, 2011 at 6:02 am
Can you create a version for for Ipad2 please ?
cuz we need to play pokemon in the ipad a big multi-touch screen
November 9th, 2011 at 11:52 pm
DeSmuME is very cool, but is too slower. my pc is Core Duo 4 GB RAM….more fps in new DesmuME 0.9.8 please? =)
November 10th, 2011 at 3:18 am
It keeps freezing when i get into a battle in pokemon, its sad i can no longer continue the game i had going
November 12th, 2011 at 10:49 am
Hey… there’s a problem with the Mac version. I’m trying to play Brain Age, and it uses the 270º rotation. The problem is the click sensor is not 270º, but 90º. For example, to click on button “Quick Play” on top right corner, I have to click on bottom left corner…
On 0.9.4 it doesn’t happen, so I think its a bug. Thanks a lot!
November 14th, 2011 at 2:14 am
nice……Thank you.
November 14th, 2011 at 6:33 pm
Robinson, in v0.9.7 Mac, there is a known bug about touch points not mapping correctly on rotated screens. This bug will be fixed in the next Mac DeSmuME release.
November 17th, 2011 at 3:24 pm
when 0.9.8 comes out ?
November 18th, 2011 at 1:22 am
When it wants to.
November 18th, 2011 at 8:54 pm
I know that there is a “lockdown” feature to stop the window from being moved and resized, but is there a way to just stop the window from being resized and let it be moved.
November 19th, 2011 at 5:33 am
i used desmume 0.9.6 and ‘ve played tales of heart & tales of innocent, so it’s works well with save state, but cant load with save-in-game … most need for new game (unlock mode) , could some1 show me how to fix this….???
i used desmume 0.9.7 and same problem
November 19th, 2011 at 6:30 pm
have you tried putting the your desmume in the Desktop instead in another file because it will be considered as an app instead of just another program.
November 20th, 2011 at 6:51 pm
Huh, I keep trying to get Dementium: The ward to work on this IBM Think Pad but I only get a blank screen for the window and I hear all of the sounds… that’s about it
November 20th, 2011 at 11:14 pm
I wrote a comment few months ago, but it’s still awaiting moderation. :I
So here it is again, maybe I’ll get an answer:
I just noticed, that the save type option is not in the config menu. Is there a way to use it? Because there are some save files that are not correct in file size, so it cannot autodetect the save type correctly. In older versions I could choose it manually, but not in 0.9.7
November 20th, 2011 at 11:38 pm
Please add firmware settings saving from svn to the new 0.9.8 version xD
i know i can use svn builds but i only use stable official builds so i cant
November 21st, 2011 at 3:16 am
Where is download Link?
November 24th, 2011 at 12:21 am
Hey, I have this emulator and my roms work perfectly. I hate No$gba because it hasn’t save state.
November 26th, 2011 at 2:41 am
When will the next version?
November 26th, 2011 at 9:38 am
Joaquin, when it’s done
November 27th, 2011 at 5:18 pm

November 28th, 2011 at 7:46 pm
Crazy, this is obvios. My question is if they make progress, and when they could launch
December 1st, 2011 at 12:23 am
